The Latest in Math

Please see attached for the latest in Math.  You'll also find information about how to help your child at home.

Letter to Parents--Math Learning-1-20-17.docx

Homework

Please check your child's folder daily.  There may be papers for your information or for you to sign and return back to school.

  • The suggested reading homework will be the same every day.  It is recommended that your child reads to you for 10 minutes.  It is helpful if you're able to ask your child questions about the book, such as their favorite part of the book, or asking him/her what certain tricky words mean in the book.
  • The suggested math homework will also be the same every day.  It is recommended that your child works on IXL and completes the skills from Kindergarten, and then moves on to the First grade skills.

High Frequency Words:  Please help your child study his/her flashcards on a daily basis.  Your child will be tested on his/her flashcards every month.

Physical Education

Your child will participate in PE daily.  For safety reasons, please make sure your child wears sneakers daily.
